COPYRIGHT CLAIM

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. Uploading or generating material that infringes someone else’s copyright is against our rules.

This page explains how to report infringing material, what we do with your report, and how long it takes.

Anyone who owns a copyright in the material, or who is authorised to act for the owner — an agent, a law firm, or a rights management company. You do not need an account. There is no charge.

Please use one channel only. Duplicate reports slow us down.
We need all of the following to act on your report:
Your name and email address.
Whether you are the rights holder or acting on their behalf.
A description of the material you own. If your report covers several works, describe or list them.
That the information you have given is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
Anything else that helps us verify ownership — a link to the original, a screenshot, a registration document — is welcome but not required.

On the day we decide

If we agree the material infringes, we remove it from the service for all users, not just from your view. We also notify the user who posted it, tell them why, and record the removal against their account. Please quote your reference number in any follow-up.

If material of yours was removed and you believe that was a mistake, write to copyright@clothoff-ru.net from the email address on your account, quote the reference number in the notice we sent you, and explain why you hold the rights to the material.

We review appeals within 5 business days. If we agree the removal was wrong, we restore the material and cancel the strike on your account.

We keep a record of confirmed infringements against each account:

A record is cancelled if a removal is reversed on appeal.

Filing a report you know to be false wastes our team’s time and may cost another user their account. We keep a record of reports that turn out to be groundless and may stop accepting submissions from senders who repeatedly file them.
